Looking for oil pressure gauge and ammeter
« on: August 14, 2011, 11:25:24 AM »
My K1 has k2 instruments (for now) so it doesn't have an oil pressure light.  I'm looking for one of those sensors that plugs into the right side of the engine and displays the PSI.  Maybe there are ones that can be mounted on the handlebars?  Also looking for an voltmeter for the handlebars to monitor my charging.  Anyone know of good ones for the cb750.  Open to ideas.

voltmeter might be a better option. I got one off a late model Honda 900 for $10

I got my oil gauge at TAS Motorsports and I really like it.

Yes like that but I heard that liquid filled ones loose accuracy when engine gets hot.  Not sure if it's true

Never heard that before. I've heard the liquid keeps the needle from bouncing around.

You're right. I was thinking of one like this but would prefer to have an actual gauge rather than LED indicators.

I got this one from an old lawn tractor.  An ammeter for a car is useless on these motorcycles because they are usually set up to higher amperage, 60 amp, than our bike can output.  Get one around 15 to 20 amps.  This one only shows 10 amps but will go as high as 20.
