What are you tryong to find out.. should be in some of the manuals..
 I dont understand if you are missing parts, but whole swingarm assembly with ends should fit sorta snug in the frame.
 Do you have big calipers, tape measure aint  gonna cut it..

Unless you get very specific drawings ;
 You will have many variables, suck as..
 swingarm should be centered or offset to left or right.. how much, cant tell you till its on the bike.
 Ditto for wheel spacing, and sprocket.
 Dito for shock mounting, keep in mind welding new mounts to an aluminum arm, without re heat-treating, can resulr in a weak, soft area..
 Pivot size, may have to drill frame, or sleeve bushings..
 If you have an arm in mind, someone may give you more detailed specs..

@ 754.. i don't need your idea how to do it, i have done this on other bikes many times,motor swaps from differnt models and brands, welded in cradles,  etc... i just dont want to tear it apart while i machine the swingarm. so, thanks but that didnt answer my question. i need the width of the frame at the inside of the swingarm pivots.

or.. as rotortiller suggested, what the total width of the stock swingarm with all other stuff on it(cups, etc)
can anybody on this board get me this info easily or? thats all i need.

9 1/4" inside to inside.  All you had to do was get a little pissy about it and here you go.  :-)

 I got a problem..
 I have a computer here and no bikes..
 At my shop I have at least 7 cb750 frames some with arms out.. mikes,  calipers, and at least one manual with that measure ment in it..pretty sure it is closer than a 16th inch measure.. so I tried to help..

  To me, in my life though.. if the swingarm has a tube end all the way across, it maters not much wether it fits within the frame or not, can usually  be made to fit..somehow...

i can work w/that. thanks for the info... btw, they do have shims and the frame does compress a hair (by design) as you clamp down a swingarm bolt.
