I have a few friends who have wings and they say they are one of the easiest bikes to ride and they do ride them spirited.  You wouldn't think a bike that big could handle like that.  They're sportbikes practically, just ALOT bigger.

Earlier, I was talking to somebody on the subject of Goldwings about how they seem to be over-represented in bike/deer collisions around here.  It may be one factor in that they are so quiet.  Another is that they handle so well, thus enabling the kind of speed in the twisties we see in the video.

no, they scrape the pegs (floorboards) but, the pipes usually hit first.

I don't want to take it away from this guy but was this video sped up somehow?...and I would save that type of riding for the track, they both had their bodies over the double yellow lines on more than a few occasions.."there are old riders and bold riders, but there are few old, bold riders"....

That film was not sped up in any way.  The road he is on is Deal's Gap on the NC/TN boarder.  I also have a Wing (1500)  and try to push some limits at times.  I had airhorns attached to the lower right side saddlebag and actually ground down the horns.  The bike in the video is the newer 1800 and they are very nimble and fast!  Great bikes to ride..currently have 140K+ on mine (all my miles too!)

Yeah, the guys a regular at Deals Gap. His moniker is yellow wolf over at STn. He will video you riding the gap and sell you the video, I guess makes a living at it. The video is not sped up, he can handle the wing.

ACTUALLY it seems its strapped to the tank. It's way too steady to be held. Anyway that would be kind of impossible, as you have no throttle! (unless youre a lefty then there's no clutch!) :D
