We're all winners, and everyone is above average!
Here in FL, the DMV is generally incorporated into the local County Tax Collector's office, along with fishing licenses, business licenses, etc. There are a number of mega-offices where there are 25 clerk stations, number-taking, massive waiting areas, etc. But out in the sticks where I live, the little local office has 3 clerks and a supervisor who have all been there for 10+ years.
Recently over a two-week period, I was in there for two motorcycle purchases and two times related to getting an old 8' jonboat registered. When I went in the 4th time, the supervisor greeted me by my first name!
I joked that I should be getting a volume discount...
To get a motorcycle license endorsement, one needs to take a 24-hour course, including skills, but it's all done by independant training companies, not directly administered by the DMV. One just shows up at the DMV with the school's certificate of completion.
For the next mark, how 'bout your bike along a working river. Gotta have some 'working' thing goin' on on the river, not just a quiet 'rural' scene. We had a working barge early on, but this can be anything - barge, shipping, commercial fishing rigs, etc.
