Yarn is usually sold in craft stores and fabric shops around these parts.
I only know this because i have some of them as window cleaning cuctomers. I don't knit, really.

All ya gotta do is search your area on google maps "knitting shops".. i.e. http://www.thistledownshoppe.com/ in Petoskey, MI ;)

That is actually in Suttons bay, about 85 miles from here in a real artsy, fartsy community. Don't want to hit the mark that bad.

Here I knew two or three knitting stores - no, I dont knit, we used to sell bumps of wool through them - but they are all out of business.

If I was going to knit anything, it would be a G-string!

OK, this mark has to be put away like you did with that Christmas sweater your aunt Mabel made for you when you were 9. LOL

Now, for the next mark...a REAL hot rod shop, not a chain store like pep boys that just happens to have an old camaro on the lift when you drive by. You'll know them when you see them.

Not if I get it first!! Tho you do have a head start ;-D
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Ok, here's what I got.

Rushmore Body:

A purple 'Cuda in front of the bay, two old pickups under the tarps, and a 80's SL Benz waiting for some lov'n!!

Rushmore may be more of a body and paint outfit, but here is a sample of their work...
http://www.rushmorebody.com/Default.aspx?tabid=48

As a bonus, I also took a pic of this shop.  This place did some custom exhaust work on my Goldwing/sidecar rig.  While there, they were rodding a '60s Belaire.  I don't know if they do body and paint, but they definitely wrench on rods.

That's a 50's ish pickup under the tarp

So, neither shop is a turn key, out the door, frame-to-paint hot rod shop.  If DJ or someone else should post a TRUE rod shop, then I'll gladly withdrawal my claim.  But if Marknpb is satisfied that i hit the mark, then I'll call a new mark later today.

Oh, a few marks back was a brewery.  This is from my recent trip to Colorado where my daughter and I visited just such an establishment (4 actually). Here is a pic of our ride in front of Boulder Beer, Colorado's oldest microbrewery.

Was a GREAT way to spend the day!  I forgot to ask the limo driver if the motor was single-cam tho ;D

Yes, that works for me....it's a shop that works on hot rods...thus, a hot rod shop. I didn't need a hot rod manufacturing plant that builds 'em start to finish....now, name your mark! :)

Ha ha ... you got it!
I went on an outing with the fam this morn... 8)  A beautiful day...
Just got back into town and was about to rip up the street to get the point.  :o
Good thing I checked this thread first.
Quick before the sun goes down ... what's the next mark! :)

Next mark: a street paved with brick.  Double points for a street paved with cobble stones. Stones need to be tennis ball sized or bigger.  Triple points for a plank road.  Bridge decking is fair game!

I'm only a couple of miles away from a brick street, but I won't have a chance to ride my bikes again until Saturday. ::)
