I pass at least a dozen of them twice a day going to and from work. I won't have to go far this weekend to bag it if someone doesn't beat me to it...

You can still use the old mark if you want, but rule #7 is there to avoid these long pauses in the game.
This is from page one of this thread.

Rules are simple:
1. All pics MUST include your own bike with the 'mark'. If your bike isn't in the picture it does NOT count.
2. All marks must be clearly visible in picture
3. Once a mark is posted, the person who hit the mark gets to call the next mark.
4. No law breaking allowed including trespassing to get a mark, it's gotta be accessible to anyone,(whatever!).
5. No pictures, paintings or other facsimiles of the mark in the photo, gotta be the real thing & NO Photoshop type stuff.
6. Once you get a mark & call the next one, someone else has to get a mark before you can hit one again.

7. ALL MARKS WILL RECIEVE A ONE WEEK,(7 full days), TIME LIMIT.
If the mark is not found in that time a new mark needs be called.

* Not really a rule, but let's keep it interesting & so no stupid stuff like a fence or a dog - use your imagination & your bike to get to it.
Also, naming a mark like a mountain or ocean means 90% won't be able to get it so make your marks accessible.
If you really think about it, there are probably more things within a 30 minute ride of anyone than you could name.

Bonus points are given (worth exactly nothing but fun to go for) for any of the following:
1. Bike is one you built/chopped/modded in some way.
2. You are in the picture in addition to your bike.
3. Extra bonus points if you are wearing SOHC swag in the picture.
4. Extra, Extra bonus points if a pretty girl is on your bike when the picture is taken.

Rule number 7 doesn't address apathy (or life getting in the way of our leisure pursuits). None of us have even posted here for two months. Who would have been able to call a new mark? Hell, I forgot about this thread until Frank posted.   ???

Hit the mark or call a new one, makes no difference to me. But I've always been a bit of a rule breaker...   :o  ;)  ;D

I think rule number 7 is more to give us an out if the mark is too difficult...

This is the water treatment plant on Marco island, Florida. The only sign that says it is inside the fence above the office entrance inside the gate. The picture is blurry because the camera focused on the fence in stead of the sign.
I guess they don't want anyone to know what goes on in there. All these people down here believe their turds just go turn into rose pedals or something.
Anyway, look at the pictures and if you take my word for it I will call another mark. Otherwise we can wait until someone gets a better shot.

Good enough, that kind of facility is best for aerial photo.

Call a mark, please.

Ok, going to keep this simple and stay with the sanitation theme, how about a port-a-potty or out house.
I know, it's kind of a "crappy" mark, but someone should get this quick.

It is in the rules to keep the game moving. If you can't play because of weather in your area, you can at least live vicariously through those that can.
Besides, the strip club has already been done and it took a long time to hit in nice weather.

Well, I found one, although they were sensible enough to put a tent over it.
The temp is exactly one degree above freezing here at the moment, but the last of the snow was gone last week.
