Colorado Old Bike Ride
« on: May 09, 2006, 06:12:45 PM »
The 4th annual Old Bike Ride, located in the Denver area, and hosted by Bob Ohman of Bob Ohman fame.

More info here:  http://www.horizonslimited.org/

The gist of it is the ride is open to any motorcycle built in 1975 or earlier, or any rider 75 years or older.  Last year was a great ride with about 40-50 bikes.  This year Bob's hoping to hit the 100 mark, and we're planning on riding up Mt. Evans if the road is open (14,000 ft peak).

Check out the website for details and email Bob to let him know if you plan on showing up.

the mount evans website says the mountain open may 26 (weather permitting).  and who was the one who thought it was a good idea to take a bunch of vintage bikes to the top of a fourteener?!

Screw it!  I'm putting on the knobbys and heading for the top anyway!

That sucks, I was really looking forward to seeing how many would actually make it.  I'm still going as soon as it opens, though!  After that, Trail Ridge Road!!

Let me know when.  I've been wanting to take that ride for a while now.
