Well, pulled the carbs and they were clean as a whistle. The mains were 110's which is one size bigger than stock i believe. The pilots were only turned out between 1 and 1 1/2 turns. The book says start at 1 3/4, so we set them there for starters. Me and the father in law fiddled with the pilots for a while, half-turn one way check. oh, got worse, go the other way, etc... For the better part of two evenings we tried and tried to no avail. He owns about 5 750's in various states of completion, and one happens to be a 77 F model parts bike, so we pulled the stock air box off, cleaned it up, stuck it on, and turned the pilots out until it was running good (which ended up being around 3 turns). So now it runs like a top and my father in inherited a new set of pod filters to use on his 69 K that he is building.
