Topic: problem with oil bulb and oil

hi guys ! i'm antonello from italy and this is the first time i post in the forum even if i follow you since 2009

i have a problem with a cb750 motor ... i put 836 cc and i changed the camchain with new ones..

the problem is with the oil ..... i put 3 litres in the tank , i start the motor but i see that oil don't go down in the tank....
so i put oil from tappet valve cover to preserve valve and rocker arm...

even if the bike run the oil don't reach the oil filter ...... it's empty as the oil pan....

how is it possible?
i checked the oil pump, i change all o-r and it works good...
the connection from oil tank and motor are free...

what should be the problem?
the oil bul light is ever red....

befoire doing the cilynder and head job it works good, also the oil bulb...

any suggestion?

Try cranking the engine with the ignition leads off.  This will hopefully prime the oil pump.  Are the lines attached correctly?  In stock condition they can't be swapped but if yours is different? Is oil making it to the pan below the engine?  Unscrew the drain plug and it should flow.  Are the oring seals in the oil pump where they belong?  It is like anything, figure out how it should work, check the easy, external stuff first, then dig as deep as you need to to find the problem.  Godspeed.

SOLVED !!!

i added an alloy gasket to the oil liner in connection with the oil tank.....

the problem was too little pression on the circuit..... the oil liner that send oil to the pump needed a washer ....
