I got a lot done this weekend, but one unitentional and unwanted result was a broken float tower. So now I will be ordering a repair kit from Randakks.

Here's a link to my thread at the Naked Goldwings board with pictures: http://ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=36097

My 75 died this weekend.
Cylinder 3 read 80 lbs Not even going to check it till I get the motor out.
Paul

Why not Paul? Honda shamelessly "Borrowed" some design cues from BMW when they designed the "Lead Wing", and one of the benefits thereof is the ability to replace a piston/cylinder/conrod/big end bearing with the engine still in the frame. While it's not hard to do an engine swap, it'd be far easier to fix whats up with your bike.

And don't take any offence from the "Lead Wing" reference, that's what we called 'em back in the day, they were as smooth as silk, but as heavy as, er, well, lead. I bought a 1975 model in the early 1980's for cheap, I spent a lot of money on it but ran out of dough before it was 100% and sold it, but I'd buy another one tomorrow, if I didn't have my Triumph Rocket III, which is not unlike a 'Wing, if of course the 'Wing had 2300cc's of unbelieveable grunt! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

No offence to the lead sled comment.
I can't wait to get the 75 running correct.
I have a few people swing by from NGWclub. So we shall see if we can repair it first I think I have an extra piston I think with rings.

I used to ride a K3 750 with a jammer, I liked it for cold weather and touring. I never got the lowers and my knees would freeze. I would lean foreward and move my feet back and could get a little engine heat. Bud had lowers on his and said it let  the engine heat hang around your legs. I like the bags, the trunks look so high I always wondered about high weight. Nice find.  Maybe next year we can do a ride in nice weather.

When your looking for a nice CB750 let me know............I have several leads from all stock to slightly modified.

Terry.............the salt flats fun was had on a Triumph T20 Cub.............I just received the official AMA certificate that I am the record holder in the modified 250cc push-rod gas class....82.541 mph.  You don't have to be on facebook to look at the page indicated above.

Banker..............be careful of what you ask.............a few of the roads are gravel!!  I am the ride leader for the annual MOTORCYCLE CLASSICS Ride-Em Dont' Hide Em event in conjunction with the Vintage Motorcycle Festival the 2nd week in June at Road America.  You have 40 more miles of twisties to cover.
