So, I've turned my shop, AKA the kitchen, inside and out trying to find the sprocket side axle spacer for my CB. Gone so far as to start looking on ebay for a replacement. Until last night while doing some cleaning I notice my parts washer, AKA the kitchen sink, is running a little slow. I hit the garbage disposal only to hear the loudest metal clamor followed closely by the buzzing sound of a stuck motor. I pull the rubber drain cover and peer down inside to see my axle spacer staring up at me and jammed in place. I tried prying it out but it was stuck. So, I used the right tool for the job. A hammer is always the right tool. Anything can be used as a hammer. Anyway, its out, a little worse for wear. I might just paint it and when asked what the marks are from I can retell the story of the axle spacer that was missing for 10 months.
