NOS Honda keys
« on: May 05, 2006, 03:28:02 PM »
Somebody asked here about Honda Keys. I bought a set of two spare keys in January -for my CB350- from a seller in eBay. I asked also for another set for my CB750, but he was out of state and told me to contact him again in May. I just contacted him the other day and I've bought another set -though I haven't received yet-. That's all my experience with him, but I thought you may be interested. I asked him to list his email address here in case somebody of you were interested, but he told me he rather do business through eBay, so here you go:

I bought keys from that ebay seller.  I told him the number on the lock and he listed an auction for them.  I have them and I love them.
My dog loves me for the person I try to be.  Either that or he's hungry.

You'll probably find he buys them from one of the suppliers in the FAQ.

No Steve, I didn't compare prices. A while back I contacted hondakeys but they didn't have the ones I needed. I forgot about it, saw his auction, asked for them and he had it. 8 bucks seemed reasonable for two keys; it didn's seem worth to waste time to save one or two bucks.

He charged me 5 bucks -the same this time- for shipping to Spain. Actual postage was less than one buck. I asked him about it, he told me the PO was 15 minutes away from his home. As I'm also a seller I'm aware of Paypal and eBay fees, and as he was nice to deal with, reasonable and sent the item fast I let it go. I'm lucky that the buck is below the euro, so I get two keys at my door for about 9 euros. I used to shop around more in the past. Now that I don't have much leisure time I don't mind paying a little more for a quicker service.
