Topic: 77 CB750K7 maybe moving to pod filters

Read a couple post on the horror stories of getting pod filters and open exhaust to run properly. Is there any benefits besides a cosmetics look? Also I does anyone know what model K&N pods fit the 77 carbs? I bought some used RC2314 and they were way too small.

I have a set that I took off my 76 750 k..........couldn't get the thing to run correctly...4 in to 1 as well. When you go from stock to anything else....its a crap shoot unless you are a carb guru. I'm run-en stock air box and filter...runs fine!

Not only is there no benefit to them on a street bike, but you'd be hard-pressed to get the bike to perform as well as it does with the stock air box.

I had good results (luck?) with pods and a 4 into 1 Mac exhaust on my '78 750 cafe build.
They do look nice and you get that cool sound but I have to admit, I would probably use a stock box if I built another.

After reading the Pod horror stories why would you put yourself through that angst. There is enough other work to make these bikes look and perform better.
