Yes...those Haindst do you shallow reliefs (and I believe they are cast too).. I personally have not used those pistons so I can't really tell you how much cam they can handle. Yosh pistons had the same problem. I don't know how lift that cam has either though it certainly has more duration. I would guess the pistons should be able to take .350 or .360 lift cam...more if you cut the pockets .030 or so. You should set up a PayPal account. I send stuff to Finland about 1 or twice a month and that's how they pay me. I'm sure I could help you out with the gaskets.

I hate using thicker base or head gaskets because it kills the squish. I guess I would cut the dome down a bit and use an F2 head. I would think the valve reliefs could handle the larger valves but you'd have to check. If you could get it down to 11 to 1 you'd be in better shape. I'd use a Dyna 2000 ignition and oil cooler for sure. Starting it hot could be difficult.

Thanks Mike. I'll measure the dome thickness and see how much room I have. Fortunately the older pistons seem to have more to work with than the new thin castings. If worse comes to worse, I'll just have to use a different piston but I'm going to try every else you've suggested first. Guess I'll start looking for a good F2 head; never expected to need one. That is a early head if there are no seals on the exhaust guides. They need to be replaced. Here are some pics of modified chambers.

Those are pics of ported heads(2 intake ports, 1 exhaust). Different stages of porting accounts for the different looks.
