Swing Arm Bolt Grease Zerk Replacement
« on: March 11, 2012, 10:37:22 PM »
Just replaced my Swing arm Zerks. The old ones did not work so well and i would like to keep the swingarm lubed.

Rip out the old nipple with pliers.

Im going to use a 6mm zerk nipple i picked up at Oreillys. I used 6mm because i already had a metric tap and since its a metric bike why switch. I also like to measure how deep im drilling it out.

After you drill it....You tap it!

Clean out the shavings as much as possible. Thread in your new zerk/nipple  ;)

Give it a squirt to clear out any shavings and old grease, then slap it back on the bike.
