Easy 77 550 carb question.
« on: August 22, 2011, 11:18:04 PM »
After vacation for a month My float bowls are leaking badly!! I cleaned and adjusted the carbs 6 months ago but didn't replace the O rings. I am assuming I will have to sync the carbs after pulling them but am wondering if I will need to do other adjustments as well?

Thanks Chris

If it wasn't obvious I am pulling the carbs to replace the float bowl O rings.

As long as you're not messing with the slides there's no need to re-synch.

Float needles? Please explain. Fuel is coming out the seams on the float bowls. Would float needles sticking cause that? I am  guessing it is the float bowl o rings as they were not great when the carbs were rebuilt but if I should be looking at other things while they are apart please explain so I can cover all bases.

Fuel level should be just below gasket. You probably need to drop the bowls and spray the shut off valve (needle) while moving the float up and down. look for trash in the bowls.if there is some find out  why.Make sure float moves freely
