I looked in the FAQ - the one there is for the older style carbs. Anyone know if there's one for the PD's?

I don't think so but maybe someone knows about one.

I did it last year on two sets but one is gone and the other is on my bike and working great. Unfortunately I did not take pictures but would be happy to contribute if I can.

I did it when I first got my bike a couple of years ago. They sat for about nine months while I was cleaning up and installing my replacement motor - so even though I drained them I think they got a little gummed up and that's my fuel delivery problem. Would like to clean out the jets and their passages, not complete disassembly. Just want to make sure I get all the parts.

The standard carb kit from Honda was all I needed. Although they were expensive, those had everything I needed.

I did take mine completely apart and there were a few adventures, solved with the help of the people here, but if you don't go that far, we don't need to go into those.

The key thing for me, other that thorough cleaning was getting the idle jets out of the body and cleaning those. They are press fit and did not come out easily and yet when I did get them out, they were clogged or nearly so. The hole through them is incredibly small diameter, I did not believe it.
