Topic: CB550F with CB500 Clutch?

G'day All,   Having a slight problem with noise on my '74 550F1.   Did the usual and checked the basket and plates for wear - there did not appear to be any!.
However looking at the schematics I think that my 550 has a 500 clutch.   the problem seems to be that the edge of the basket is touching the clutch activation mechanism (at the bottom where the adjuster comes through the outer casing).
Is there a size (is depth) difference between the CB500 and CB550 clutches?.
I have had the cover off several times, tried various adjustments but cannot eliminate the noise.

Ok, so I have checked out the clutch, and it is not a CB500 - well maybe the basket is.   How do I tell the difference?.

Just checking , did you ever figure out the noise? and what kind of noise exactly was it?
Having some mechanical sounds on mine as well.
