I picked this up for $500 this summer. Tank was wrecked, but otherwise ok shape. The first pic is what it looked like before. The tank was done by forum member johnny5. He did a great job

What is the reason for covering up the tag? Some deep dark secret I don't know about? I see a lot of people do this but don't know why.

Not sure. I always see them blacked out. Ha, I guess it is pretty stupid when you think we drive around with them all day.

I figured bike tags would be like the ugly orange and blue tags they use on cars.

Good looking bike too.

I added a small dragon and some kanji to the tank. Not sure if I like it but it can stay for now. I thought it was pretty subtle and had them lying around.
