PD carbs - does this thing come out?

...and if so, does it just press out?

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

It does come out but they are often stuck in with varnish . Its also very soft and is easily distorted . You can leave it in place . Just clean the emulsion tube below it . If you must remove it try pressing it out from above with a piece of wood like a chopstick .

Yeah, that's what I thought but couldn't remember exactly. Think I'll just leave it in place. Thanks!

you wont get it as clean if you dont pop it out,it has tiny holes along its length you might not get clean just by blowing through it.

No . The emulsion tube threads in below it or presses in and has the holes . The piece in the pics is short . About 3/8" long and has a raised collar at the mid point . Unless your replacing the needle and that seat I'd leave it in .

Yep - pushed one out. No holes. But good to know it's just a seat.
