My experience tells me that if you have proper oil levels then it's usually bad gas or dirty carb. check plug is clean and providing spark but most of the time my generator does the same because the carb..especially if I haven't run it in a while.

good luck and stay safe.

You will not have a gummed up carb with LP gas. Check your spark and make sure your regulator is allowing gas flow. Spark of course is primary. I see LP gas units, what I need is a Natural Gas unit. Good luck to you in CT, I am in NY and i think we are both gonna need those generators.

First off to me cranks means it will turn over but will not start or run is this what is happening? Mine has a low oil level shut off also if you know you have oil then jump out the Sw.. It depends if it is a NO or NC Sw try taking the wire off the Sw. and see it you have fire to the plugs. Even though it is LP you can spray some starting fluid in the air filter to see if it tries to fire. That will tell you if it is a fuel or spark issue. I know what you are up against started mine yesterday ran it for a hour but I do that once a month. That was my MOS 52b3p in the Army  in the 60s. Try what I wrote and get back if it does not work.

Can't help with your problem, but stay safe. I was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island, glad I'm not there now.

Tough it out guy.   ::)   Good luck with the generator.  Im stealing my bosses if it gets bad enough here, plus enough ice to keep a keg cool for 3 days.  I keeps it real!

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
