1981 CB650 Custom re-jet question
« on: August 27, 2011, 01:26:08 PM »
Hello all, a couple months ago I bought an old cb650 pretty cheap.  My goal is to end up with a rat/bobber/chopper sort of bike.  Since I have owned it, I have added individual cone-style pod filters, which makes it run a little lean.  Would making the exhaust a straight piped 4-4 even out the fuel/air mixture enough so that a re-jet unnecessary?

I'm a newbie to engines in general and am asking based on the assumption that less backpressure due to the mufflers being removed means it will run richer.

Thank you for any help you can provide!
