CB750 KO parts question
« on: August 29, 2011, 09:07:22 AM »
When I got this KO there was a wind screen on it which was promptly removed. I was going to toss it out, but thinking it came from a KO might be worth something or just worthless? The clear would need to be replaced, but the framing is really good. Is this thing worth anything or are they a dime a dozen? Thanks

Looks like an FLH or Police windshield.
If not OEM from Motor Co (the USA one) then maybe National Cycle.

Based on my experience of tossing something then someone asking me a short while later if I still have it, I never throw anything out anymore. Put it in a corner and save it.

Adding to what's been said...

Its not an OEM Honda part, so that's not where the value may lie.

It is a "period" part, so someone may want it for that reason.

Not a dime a dozen as few have survived, but yours may not be the desired example, looks like the tops been chopped off.

The second picture indicates maybe its been broken off? At that age it would have to be really brittle and not safe in my mind to use at speed.

Correct, the entire clear portion would need to be replaced. It is the framing that is really nice. I guess I can store it in the rafters for a while until I decide what to do with it.

That looks like a National Cycle quick release windscreen. Not a dime a dozen, but I have seen windscreens just like that on Craigslist for $25 to $50, depending on whether it has mounting hardware.

Your road to riches must iead in another direction, Johnnie.
