Fun at Bonneville....
« on: August 27, 2011, 08:18:15 PM »
Took the Camaro to L.A. and installed a new bullet.....  Blew it up the first day of speedweek at Bonneville.

Mop'ed around for a day and started tearing it apart.... figured out #1 and #6 where still good.....

Ran the blown Big Block with 2 cylinders and set a record at 32mph  .... we genuinely looked like it was going to run in the 70-80 range... but it simply didn't and since the record was open.....   Any speed quailifed

Just fun mechanical exercise.

Were you smiling when driving? Seems like a awkward/funny situation.

We changed in size classes from A to F..... or from 491cubic inches down to 123...

The Loss of Maxton as a Venue is huge... but we're looking at a facility in Ohio that is Much better then Maxton and maybe a bit more receptive.

You made me get all nostalgic about the old home track. :'( Drug this out of the catacombs and scanned it: my 2nd run ever down the 1/4 mile, in my VW bus, circa 1975. 8)

We always go to Salt talks.... ( Jon Amo and I started that tradition )...   This year was a semi rain out....

Bub Should be fun.... read a report from Dennis Manning last night that said the salt wasn't great but it was Race'able...

I'd agree with that.... it was the worst salt I've seen in my 15yrs of racing there....
