Nah Mate, it is not crowded enough. They are usually cheek to cheek, and someone would be feeling up the woman.

Honda had to restyle the 750 since the US put a tariff on Jap bikes to protect Harley. Fatter Tank, extended and uncovered fork tubes, concealed gas cap. More Americanized than European. It's all good.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Ha ha, you're close Bobby, Honda had already "styled" their soon-to-be- released DOHC 750K that couldn't be released in 1977 when they'd originally planned to, (mechanical gremlins that they were never able to resolve)so they styled the K7/8 similarly, to gauge the public's reaction to the new DOHC bike's styling cues.

The public didn't think much of it and voted with their feet, so Honda brought out the CB750/900F "Bol dor" versions to attract back the prospective Honda buyers who were flocking to Suzuki and Kawasaki showrooms in disgust. This was about the same time that Honda seriously considered getting out of motorcycle manufacturing entirely, they couldn't give their bikes away, and their bikes couldn't win a race. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Got the wife back on the bike after her "Lady" surgery 4 weeks ago. Perfect night for a ride on the K3, upper 70's for a temp and the bugs doing their last dance for the night. These bikes are so much fun, it just takes you back years, cares are forgotten, and the buzz of the motor takes over and sings it's magic, a little blip of the right hand and it roars to life like Godzilla taking a Tokyo skyscrapper down! LOL

Ok, so the tank looks like a pregnant yak.  I'm quite happy with my K7.  She a buxom old gal that still turns a head or two.

We K7/8 owners need not apologize for having the most evolved of the CB750 line. These are our bikes and as we said in the Bronx. " ya don't like it...........don't look".    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Fugly!!! That cuts to the quick, In all fairness I never was too fond myself until I found a deal too good to pass up. I added the triple disc and my 3 1/2" diameter glasspack with an 18 tooth sprocket. I love it. Its a 76 and a third of the miles on it happened this year. Besides, it's what I have to ride while I restore my K0. hahaha.

I started the thread but am ready to come out of the closet  :o  Sorry Terry, but I also own a 76 750 SuperSport and do enjoy riding it.Had less than 5,000 miles on it when I got it from the original owner.Nice tight peppy ride but I do still have a major soft spot for my old K1's.Have to admit though in over thirty years of owning 750's I have never ridden one,an SOHC that is, newer that a 76. I need to make a friend with a 77-78 so I can take one for a spin. :)

I have seen pics of your shop before 754 thanks to Magpie - Cliff. You probably got the stuff around there to do it when the time feels right I would venture to guess.  Eric

i miss my 75F1. loved it. still miss it.

I own 3  4-strokes out of 10  street bikes.... the 3 are a 74 moto-morini 3 1/2, an 09 ducati sport classic biposto equipped with lots of go fast goodies,. and the K8.  so, it has good company at least.  ;D

Soooooo..........who wants to start the poll?? People that know me know I'm a lazy bugger and would rather brag the greatness of an old K model to the totally inept design of the other choices. I don't give a rat's a$$ about how many ponies they put out.......they also had problems (certainly in the looks dept.!!!).......On the other hand .......(there's warts!! ;D).........they did have some coolness...(rear disc brakes come to mind)....This thread is called "In defense of the 73-76 K"...........Gimme a poll dammmit!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ha ha, you don't have to apologise to me Eric, but I have to tell you, that Gold K1 looks ten times better than that slab sided red monstrosity, I bought the "Chicken Yellow" version new in 1978 (it was a 1975 model "FO" which I believe stands for "Fcuking 'Orrible") and the only reason I bought that one was because Honda couldn't sell them and I got a massive discount.

I really wanted a Kawasaki Z1000, but didn't have enough money, and there was no way I'd have bought a K7 or K8, my standards are pretty low, but there are some things that even I can't abide. As it was I got rid of the F0 after 10 months and bought a K1, and apart from 2 F2's (a much better bike, but 140 MPH? In yer dreams.............) I've kept the bloodline pure with only K0-K6 bikes in the current herd. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
