Topic: Newbie from the Netherlands

Hi all!

Well let me introduce myself. I'm Jesse from the Netherlands and just turned 24. Been into everything that has an engine my whole life and I have now set my mind on a cafe racer .

Currently working as a Marine Surveyor in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. My hobbies are, besides a cafe racer in the near future, kiteboarding (I live close to the North Sea) and my Volkswagen Beetle from 1964.

Beetle I mostly restored it myself and also build a bigger engine for it. It has a 2176cc engine (based on a normal 1600cc aircooled beetle engine) with all new parts (crank, camshaft etc. etc.) and running Weber 48mm IDA carbs. It punches out 180-190 hp which is a lot of fun at the stoplight .




Currently a '74 CB450 is for sale nearby and I'm going to have a look at it next week. Going to search here for some tips what to look for. It has been standing still since 1990..

First, Welcome to the group, Jesse.  Nice work with the bug.

The CB500/4 came in one configuration - the K-style with the 4 pipes.
