Hello everyone, I have a 1977 CB550 K3. Unfortunately the current harness has some shorts and burnt wires. I have been looking for a replacement but was wondering if I can expand my search to beyond the exact year and model. I will be running aftermarket turn signals, electric start, hondaman ignition, oregon reg/rect. The bike is currently a mix of other years, so by no means will this be an all original bike. Currently the frame is a 1977 CB550K3, engine is a 1976 CB550F, carbs 087A, hand controls are from another cb550.
I have been studying the different cb550 wiring diagrams that I could find to see if I can use one from a different year, would love to hear if I can use something besides a k3 harness. Also if you have a specific diagram for the 1977 k3, I would be extremely thankful. The diagrams I have found seem to be for k1 & k2
