Shaft Cover Bearing Trouble
« on: August 11, 2013, 12:02:59 AM »
Having some trouble getting the old bearing out of the trans ion shaft cover. Anyone been in this area before got some advise. I have broken this cover before on my GL1000 so I really don't want to force it and do any damage.

I have replace 6 of the 7 transmission and final drive bearings and this is the last one.

Thanks in advance.

It's ok. I got given advice to drop in boiling water and then tap the back with a piece of wood. Worked a treat.
