'78 CB750K carb vent hose
« on: September 23, 2011, 09:18:03 PM »
When removing my tank I noticed a small hose from the carb that goes up to nothing, like its a vent hose. Where does it go? Is it a vent hose?

My 77 only had the fuel line running between number one (1) and two (2) carb. The other lines were to the bottom of the float bowls.

There is a breather hose that goes to the engine from the air box and a vent hose from the tank to under the frame.

My CB750F1 has two vent hoses.  They are 3.5mm.  They appear to just vent to the atmosphere.

On my CB750K8, that port was connected to a short length of rubber hose with a small filter canister at the end. Sorry that I don't have a picture. Yes, I do believe that it is a vent. But Honda provided a filter screen to keep crap from being sucked in. Not on any parts lists that I have seen.

Yes, thank you, that must be what it is. Just missing the filter. Thanks, for all the help.
