I'm getting ready to tackle a steering bearing replacement. Going to All Balls tapered bearings. I'd just like some clarification on removal. I see lots of posts talking about banging out the steering bearings. I don't see anyone using a blind bearing puller. I borrowed one from an auto parts store to remove my wheel bearings (success), and I'm wondering if this would be the more appropriate way to get the steering bearings out? Are you guys not using this due to limited access to one, or is the beat 'em out method the better way to go? Thanks.
