'77 CB 400F Clutch Drag?
« on: September 06, 2011, 04:40:21 PM »
When I have the clutch fully pulled in(engaged) and the bike in first gear, I can notice a slight pulling forward of the machine. I have tried adjusting the cable, it has a little more to go, but it hasn't made much difference. Is this common? The bike is newly running with only 8800 miles before it was barned up. Does it just need a bit of use to loosen things up in there? Is there further adjustment inside the lever compartment?

Clutch lever pulled in means the clutch is disengaged.

Adjust the clutch, not just the cable.  The procedure is in the shop manual.
