New pistons, workflow

Hey gang. So, new pistons. I'm bringing two cilinders to the shop tomorrow; one is a 65mm bigbore kit, the other one is a standard piston kit.
Exciting.
I didn't get to clean them before, though. After boring and honing, is sanding still an option? Or will that undo some work?

What are you planning to sand?  You don't need to touch the cylinders after they have been bored and honed.

Just for looks (I'm drunk). The cylinders. Outside, the fins. Can I sand them after honingin? Is that safe?

I would think your OK for that but try and keep some oil or other lube in them to prevent rust and maybe stuff them with some old rags to protect.Probably would have been better to clean before though. Good luck on the builds.   Watcha drinking beer or the hard stuff ??.

1/2 oz. Bacardi 151-proof Rum
1/2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. Amaretto
1 oz. Orange Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Cranberry Juice
