Check the drain holes on your exhaust.  I just checked the pipes on my K1 and one of the drain holes was completely clogged.  Takes 30 seconds to do, and could make a life or death difference to your pipes over time.

Is this the small hole near the exhaust exit point on the 78'550k? I was thinking of taking mine off for the winter and hanging them upside dowEmgo remove any condensation.

Gordon ... good point.  Similar to the drain holes at the bottom of car/truck doors ... they get plugged ... if not unplugged  the bottom of the door rusts off especially in the northeast with snow and salt.
