henry Abe rear wheel, how direct a fit?
« on: February 02, 2015, 05:34:04 AM »
Hello all, got a 74 cb750 that and I'm wondering about placing a henry Abe mag on the rear.
I've seen a few threads discuss making them work, but I want to be sure how direct a fit they are in the swingarm, using the stock spacers and axle and nuts, and putting in some new bearings etc.
Thanks for your feedback..
My toolbox consists mainly of hammers.

I  have one on my 73 750.  The wheel has a drum brake and uses the brake plate and the drive side from the 750.

I assume each Henry Abe wheel is made for each brand.  If there are numbers on the wheel, for say, Honda or Suzuki I don't what they are.

I got mine from a 73 750 parts bike and I used the stock spacers and axle.  I used the best parts from each bike.
Replaced the bearings and I was good to go.  BTW, I have a 16 inch.  Have you got a 16 or 18?

Any question just ask.

Thanks for the information.  I haven't got one yet, but my rear wheel is rusty and really needs to be replaced.  I'm seeing some henry Abe 16 inch for sale on eBay for just $99, and I just looking too find out if I have all the other parts I need, minus the bearings, to go the mag route.  Instead of spending that money on relacing.

Henry Abe made a direct replacement wheel for the SOHC CB750.
As long as you buy the wheel for that application there isn't any thing special that you need.
