If you look at the bikes that used a similar style bar in the 70's (guzzi v7 sport for example) they all have squarish tanks. I think the thing that is throwing my eye off is the fork ears for the headlight - very square and modern clashing with an old style bar design. Plus it leaves a lot of the fork stanchion exposed.
