Which speedo is this please?
« on: September 09, 2011, 11:09:39 AM »
1976? Might be Canadian because of the km ring. It came off my 1978 CB750K but the color wasn't right for that year.

Can anybody use this?

It is missing the reset knob and has a bit of rust on the black housing. Otherwise in pretty good shape. It did work when it was taken off.

Is that blue or green?  Both of my guages (also '78 750K) are green faced.  Looks like the stocker to me...

Thanks. I think the color in the pic is pretty accurate. I wouldn't say it was green but rather faded blue.

Any idea what the ND at the bottom of the guage face is?  Not sure I've seen that before, may have just overlooked it on mine...

I don't think the 750 used the green face did they? Just the Goldwing. Plus the wing has labeled 150 the 750 just has a line for 150. My 550f 77 goes to 130. but the same color.
Parts bikes not sure if original.
I have that gauge on my 76 750F it is of a blue tint. really 77.  Just the frame 76
Sorry not much help just trying to break it down.
I would say also 77/78.

The 750's pretty much used dark green and light green. one example is the 75 750F was dark green like that and the 76 750F was light green. I've seen faded dark green confused as blue.

Faded colors...   That's how I botched up buying "year correct" ones for my 750...

Were there actually ANY true blue gauge faces?! I don't think so. Dark green or light green is my thought. Then there is faded green. Original owners or purchasers of new units would be the reliable sources for this info.

I thought the only year the 750 (550, too) used light green was in 76.  I have a set of 76 Cb750 Light green gauges I used on a 550 for many years.
Replacement gauges as well as the 77-78 models had both MPH and KM markings.

Light green (I think) on my 550  :-X  And then my 750 gauges featuring a "blue" speedometer.  On top of that, not right for the year.  The '73 was in increments of 20 (again, from what I've gathered)...

Light green and faded dark green.

The 76 750F used the light green also. Wish I was at home to post the pictures.
