On the 72 CB750? Should be flat top Allen head screws? On which I would use a hammer impact driver.

If you've got studs they may have been put it by the PO. I'd use a proper stud remover.

They are cheaper at harbor Freight.

I double-nutted mine, then used a punch and hammer. I put the punch on the end of the stud then smacked the punch with a hammer in quick concessions. (like a woodpecker) That should break the oxidation loose so that you can put a wrench on the double-nut to turn it loose. If it still won't come loose, remember penetrating oil is your friend.

I would heat the outside area also with a propane torch. Make it even easier.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I asked the guys at the head shop to remove the ones I couldn't get out when I dropped it off.  ;) ;) ;)

yep, heat & an impact driver.  you may mess a few up getting them out, but you can always replace them w/ new, non rusty versions :)

The threds on my 750 studs were already jacked.I planned on using screws anyways.so I just used vise grips..didn't need to heat anything up.
