Sadly the end is near.... Got the side covers from Johnny5.... They look great. The color I was going for is a blue/green like the early 750's.... The tint is a lil more green and I am digging it.... Great work Johnny and I would highly recommend him. Tank will be here soon. Also will get the seat  this week.

Edit--- after posting i noticed a metalic tint!!! sweet

+1, love the blue! (my fav color, ya know) Paint quality looks good, too.
Can't wait to see the tank in place. Why signals on a cafe? Do you have bars?

Hey bud,  ;) you may want to make your own like I did.  Takes a few beers and an extra gas tank.  Piece of wood.

Why signals? I think in Wisconsin its a law. I am not sure but safety and it will allow someone to drive at night.. I am going to keep the superbike bars as I am not a fan of clip ons. Superbike bars are on already I just never took a pic yet...

My 550 cafe came from WI, no signals. When I think cafe, less is more, and most won't have them.

I decided to order the Thruxton and have it upholestered. Now the important part is do I leave it black or match it to the tank. Updates will follow that..

Hey Matt- in regard to the superbike bars, I love them.. Not to low or awkward. I have had 3 sets, one for each 550 and one for my 650 KZ. I also bought Euro bars and hated the look. They were way to bulky for the size of the bike. I do have drag bars on my 750 right now and will have to order another superbike bar for that too.

Cafe to me too does mean less. But ehh, you should have said , TEWS DONT GET SIGNALS!!! That would have saved me 43 bucks!

Got the tank from Johnny5. The bike is coming together now.. Only thing left is the seat from DCC.
I ordered grey HM wings and will have them put on the front of the tank then clear coated one more time. Should I get the 550F supersport stickers for the side covers or let them be bare?

Thanks JOhnie, but I can't take credit. Johnny5 did all the paint work. I am doing the easy part and simply reassembling the bike.

Euros were  more straighter then superbike. They also seemed a lot wider. They didnt fit the look I was going for.

http://www.bars4bikers.com/laws-wi.html

Even if the weren't required,$43 is cheap compared to the efforts needed  to hand signal. Who likes turning with only one hand on the bars? I guess you could discontinue the signal and then make the turn anyway.  As long as we're calling these bikes "cafe racers" can we start calling the streets "boardtracks" ? The more I read these boards, the more I understand why cars are pulling out in front of bikes.  Your paint and signals look very nice!

Flake Sapphire Blue.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
