I vote for the turn signals as well.  Even if they didn't look cool.  I heard the "B" word so it's starting to get serious.

Wow - looks great with the tank on there! Did I hear BOTM?!?

I'd consider putting something on the side covers, but not necessarily the stock 550F.
But if that is what you want, member my Hondas made some some for me, cheap.
My 550 doesn't have anything, just haven't decided what I want yet.

You should def send that bike down here to me!

Grats man is such a nice look. Very classic looking and well thought out. Surprised the hell out of me that a packer fan can have taste.:) Raises a glass of beer to ya...

Thanks for the positive feedback. But BOTM is a far cry away. Especially this one. I have nowhere near the skill those who have had the honor. Maybe next winter I will do another bike where I tear into the engine.

Stev-o, what do you suggest for the side covers? They need something but I am at a lost as to what.

I just ordered these. Figure if I don't like I can use later. Plus the seat will arrive around same time and then I can get these decals clear coated over as well.

I received all the decals for the build. Pretty disappointed with the size of the HM wings. Need some advice on the layouts.

Your bottom picture on the tank and 550 on the panels.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I would try and get the wing closer to the front of the tank.

I like the wing decal and the super sport decal on the tank....the 550 decal is a little over powering there in my opinion.

Oh, and judging by your signature you just watched Drive...good quote!

Different.
The Honda was originally on tank, with 'Super sport' below
550 on side panels
I think the wing looks better

Looks Great Tews!  I really like the blue and vote for the wings on the tank and just the 550 four on the side panels.
Looking forward to watching this one to completion.

Since I find out that you are a Packer fan, then I would imagine that a nuanced approach would be too much to ask for.   ;D  The size of the decals on the side panels are too big for me.  Unless there was a way to make the color some kind of gradient with your blue and silver from the frame.  The wing is cool, but to have one on both the tank and the side cover may be....I don't know.  I've been dealing with this for weeks myself.

I think that I've decided to put CB550 on my swingarm.  Maybe I'll get a rectangular one some day.  You have kicked it so far, I'm sure you'll get it right.

+1 Wings on the tank, closer to the front and 550 on the side covers.

I received my seat in the mail from DCC. Really good quality. Now I will decide to paint it silver to match the frame or match the tank...

Stev-o I looked at your idea with mounting and don't think that will work. Hardly any area to put the sheet metal up front by the airfilter box

Ok, not only I'm new here but this is also not exactly what you asked but... this is what I got for my bike and I think it would look good on yours too:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320839604754?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Original badge, just needs some TLC to bring it back to life. Because you already have the silver on the tank, I'd spray the whole badge on the same colour and then use some sand paper to bring back the details.

I'd use on the tank, just sticking the supersport one right bellow it.

You can find the original ones on ebay (vintage) or copies from Thailand (I think). Just need to keep your eyes peeled! ;)

Thanks EDU. I had the original badges prior to repaint. I was thinking of the flat look w/o badges
