So this was how it looked before hand. It does have the new superbike handle bars on.
I took the sissy bar off and decided to cut up the seat an try to design my own cowl to fit over the seat for a cafe look. I decided it just wouldn't look right. I also had a bunch of rust and dings on the front fender so it was chopped down from both the front and back of the fender. It smaller and lighter but it will still do the job. I think it looks rather neat.
Then decided to cut the seat down more and use the old crappy seat pan as the new bobber-ish pan. I decided it was still too fat for the look of the bike.
I hacked it all to hell. I'm going to find a way to make this work. So now I need to find a way to support it on the bike. Im going to end up either bolting it straight to the frame or think of some other way to make this work.
Basically the look I'm going for. I'll be cutting the frame off past the shocks. I'll weld the seat mount forward and down for extra support. The rear fender will be welded into place.
The seat was cut down a lot skinnier. I'm starting to wonder if I lost everything that was comfortable. I may start looking for a gel pad. Either way I need to pound the old seat pan into shape, or maybe I'll just buy a new flat piece of metal. On the other hand it's already molded under this foam.
I'm actually liking the rear fender/turn signals/tail light look on this brat. I'm going for my own look, but I love ideas! The fat tires are interesting me also.
So do any of you guys have any ideas for any good all in one tail lights or good turn signals like on this brat?
