Electronic tach pulse count
« on: September 10, 2011, 06:13:10 PM »
What does the pulse count on an electronic tach need to be to work with a '72 CB750K engine? Went to HayDays today and picked up a Polaris snowmobile tach since I know its waterproof and can't work worse than my mechanical tach (needs to come apart and be cleaned good). But I don't know how well it will work because its a 6 pulse tach. I guess at least I only paid a dollar for it.

yeah.. hm. probably wont work at all @ the coil (not accurately anyway). you can try to trigger is off one of the lines off the alternator output, the yellow ones.  tap into one and it should be okay. yes, im serious.
