K5 Engine with K3 head?
« on: September 13, 2011, 09:48:36 AM »
Hey Guys!

I've acquired two engines that are in very sad states. BUT! between the two I should be able to make one solid FRANKEN-ENGINE.

Has anyone put a K3 head on a K5 bottom end and jugs?

There should not be any issues with that match up.Try to keep the cam and the cam holder towers etc. in the same order though as they have been worn in together.

Cheers. I'm thinking it shouldn't be a problem to swap heads.

My great and knowledgable friend Cliff (Magpie) already advised me to keep cam towers, tappets, etc in order.

Here's hoping!!
