Hello forum members,

I just finished speaking to a guy in Hollister California who designs Corbin saddles.  I asked him to build Corbin saddles for the early 70's CB750s.  He said that they would do it and asked me to help him find a CB750 owner who lives in or near Hollister so that he can borrow a bike to do the tooling for the saddle.  Corbin makes saddles for the mid and later 70 models, but 70 through 74 are left out.  I own a 1972 and would appreciate a little help in making it possible for Corbin to create saddles for our bikes. If you or someone you know can be of assistance, please contact me ASAP.  Thanks everyone.

I don't think you had in mind my 71 K1 since its a custom made seat, but do you know if they recover/repad seats they didn't make? The seat I have feel like riding on a cinderblock so I need a good job done.

I'd help you out but I don't think my bike could make it from Sacramento to Hollister and back. Sorry

i was looking at the corbin website earlier tonite, and was surprised they didn't have seats for the honda sohcs.  the model they have for the GB500 looks nice:

but i wonder if the stepped seat profile suits the classic brit bike look of the sohcs.  ???

Well, I appreciate your help.  If you should happen to know of a club in the area that may have a CB750 owner let me know.  Thanks.

As a matter of interest, members of the UK VFR Club get 30% discount on Corbin seats.

It costs £15 to join and could save you £100's

That's just a special design for the GB500 so they can carry a passenger.  Chances are if they made a seat for the SOHC's, they'd offer a stock-looking design in the line-up.
