Everything dead
« on: September 13, 2011, 07:02:10 AM »
1985 650 Nighthawk. Headlight, Blinkers, and horns all dead at once. Battery is charged. Neutral and oil light come on but not High beam indicator, even though it is set to high beam. I have voltage at headlight connector but headlight will not light. Connected bulb direct to battery and it lights fine. All I did was open the headlight to see why the horns did not operate correctly. They had almost no volume. Now they have none. There does not appear to be any ground wire connected to the chrome metal headlight shell. Nor does the book show any such ground. The original plastic headlight was replaced by the PO. I have let a monster out of the headlight shell !!

Just curious, do you have power to your coils- will the bike run?
