My CT70 V-Twin custom built

I built this motor last winter,all parts are honda OEM,except for carb and air filter.The only one in the world V-twin 140cc CT70

I can't see the pics (Damn defence department firewall!) but Alan Millyard in Britain built a V Twin CT70 (or it could have been an SL70) back in the early 1980's when he was a school kid.

He's since built many Kawasaki based 4,5,6, and 7 cylinder two stroke road bikes, a V12 based on a Kawasaki in line 6, and a V12 Honda based on a CBX, from memory. Here's a link to his latest build, a Dodge V10 Viper engined bike, I want one, it's bigger than my Rocket III! Cheers, Terry.  ;D

I can't get enough of those mutant engines. Those things are really neat.Sadly I will never have the ability to make one but it sure would be fun to own one. Sure you get a lot of attention with that example.

Well I've just gotten home and am finally able to see the pics, good job mate, it looks great! I think it's fair to say that Alan Millyards V twin conversion pre-dates yours by 20 years or so and probably gave you some inspiration for your build, but you've done a great job and deserve to be proud of your efforts! win shows in the custom class regularly.Is it an 80 degree V-twin or 70 degree ?

Honestly, I don't know.I have a lot more time on the frame than the motor.2 days of work and the motor was ready.For a complete bike done I think the price will be up to 4000$ easy

Honestly,when I did this motor,I had no idea  about the existence of a similar motor done 20 year earlier.I had time,milling,lathe,boring machine,tig welder,and I decide to try something.Many laydown motor been done in the wolrd with 200cc honda motor to be fitted in the ATC 3 wheeler.So I said why not ''layup''....and finally I kept the horizontal cylinder

I take it this  summer and go to some motorcycle show.Most of people don't believe me,but when I start it and said to touch the left exhaust....they have no other choice to believe in,and other people just don't look at the bike because they are not interrested by the ct70,but they never see the upper cylinder.I think this could be a nice piece in a museum.For the moment,the bike is in my ''museum'' with my 45 running bike and 60 parts bike.

Nice build, now hang 3 more cylinders on it and sell the result to ultra light pilots as a radial engine for their ultra light you'd have to beat them off with a club.

Not faster than factory,more power,better acceleration,but the motor turn to the same top RPM,with the same factory gearing,top speed is the same

Wow, how is that possible?

Are you using some kind of knife & fork connecting rod setup on a stock crank?

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

I see and appreciate the fine custom work you did to the frame so that the upper cylinder will fit exactly in place and look as it was coming from the factory that way! it looks like you can even adjust the valves on the upper cylinder w/ ease.
