Vintage Honda paint Kits
« on: September 14, 2011, 05:27:03 AM »
Has anyone on this site used a paint kit from Don, Vintage Honda paint? I have used numerous kits on my CT70's and the color match is dead on. Just wondering?

Yes,  color was stunning on the Candy Gold.  I also ordered his decal set to go with the Candy for my 69 K0 and it turned out well.  The decals under the clear are as good as it gets.  I did make a mistake in application of the Candy coat and I only needed to replace the materials for that step.  He does not sell partial kits so be careful when you go throught the process.  A mistake is $80.00 plus shipping. Expect 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Check with Color Rite as they carry Planet Blue metallic:
http://www.colorrite.com/product/honda-pb27mc-planet-blue-metallic-2259.cfm

If you happen have a Planet Blue metallic color sample in hand, check out:

Jeraulds Auto Paints
2020 National City Blvd
National City, CA 91950
(619) 474-6111

They are/was real good with color matching, but it’s been 8+ years since I lived in San Diego to do business with them. Worth a look.

Also, you can check with Randy @ Marbles Motors, he’s very good with the old Honda colors:
