I GET TO SPEND MONEY ON FUN STUFF! * Jetting Question *
« on: September 15, 2011, 05:06:49 PM »
Straight up brag post because Im excited to wrench on my bike

After 23, 11 hour days, it looks like ill have some play money ;D.
Planning on ringing the all pistions, cylinder hone, porting the head a bit more, not forgetting valve seals this time ;) getting my exhaust chromed, 650 tach to read the cam going in, nitride coated rockers (hopefully) new tail light,  and new jets

ive been running the stock 100s ('76 550) pods, medium port job, dropping in the 650 cam, 4-2 figure pretty much open, single plate drilled 75% out baffle, bike absolutely rips but isnt obnoxious. ive read on here, just throwing pods on you can bump up your jets to a 105. pods and head work 110. i would assume with the cam, pods, head work, and clear exhaust i could run 120s without absolutely drowning the cylinders. id be interested on anyones opinion especially on the idle jet, clip position will be at the bottom. contemplating 76 750 carbs with 120s also.

ill be putting up results when im all done, dyno/honest evaluation. so anyone else doing this set up can get see what to expect from cheap hop ups.

i have no idea what im doing, but ill probably do whatever i want anyways.
Thanks
Aaron
