Just a quick video I threw together.
« on: September 16, 2011, 07:08:10 AM »
I'm waiting for a brake caliper seal to come in, so the bike is back off the road while I rebuild rebuild them. In the mean time, I threw a quick video together of some footage I took on a quick ride one day after work.  Nothing special, but kind fun...

This is my first attempt at something like this, so let me know what you think, what I should add, take away, and if its entertaining enough you'd want to see more.

Nice video. Looks like a great ride. I love those Gopro's I assume that's what you were using. Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed that, it was fun.  I did like the side mounted parts.  it allowed me to see the forks and if they flexed or not since you do not have a fork brace.  Not sure if it did or not.  In the second instance of that shot, i think I saw it shimmy a tad but it was small.  it could have been the video.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

It is, indeed, a GoPro.  I have a handful of track footage of my 600rr and a couple videos of shakedowns when I first got the 550 running.  You can check them out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/oldirtybakeoff?feature=mhee

And yes, the front wheel does have a slight shimmy.  I only noticed it because of the video.  The rim has less than 1/8" side to side play in it.  The odd thing is, the tire seems to have been from a weird mold, as you can watch quite a bit of wobble in the tread while riding...  More things to work on over the winter!
