Wheels for 1971 cb750?!?
« on: September 25, 2011, 10:00:04 AM »
I found some wheels online for sale and was curious if anyone knew if they would fit my 1971 cb750 here is the add:
"Selling two wheels that I had on my motorcycle, one it's 17" and have a good tire, the other one is 19" but it don't have tire on it, they where on my 1986 Suzuki gs750L , but I'm sure it'll fit others too, they are in great shape. Asking 70 for both or OBO."

No. I don't see a drum for the rear  brake. Anything could be made to work but for a bolt on, forget it.

Thanks Don, Im would rather just a bolt up so I will probably just stick with my stock wheels. I've seen where the rim is painted black and spokes are left chrome on a stock wheel, is there a good way to remove that chrome so I could paint the rim?

Sandblast the rim before painting or powdercoating.
