Everything but the start button...
« on: September 17, 2011, 10:58:29 AM »
My 400F is so close to being finished! Can anyone tell me what other bikes would have used the same start button? Mine crumbled in my hand when I disassembled it to see what was wrong. Some Turkey got it with a hacksaw when creating a new opening for wires to come through the housing. It has three wires and it cuts power to the headlight as well as activating the starter when depressed. I want to know what other bikes I should be looking to for the part.

I did a Quick search on Motogrid and it appears to be part #35130-377-P00 for the whole right hand switch unit.  There site shows the same part used on a number of Hondas of similar years, like the 550F, 550K and 750F.  Hope this helps.

This is a common issue with these old Hondas. Button went bad on my 550, I ended up changing out the R side control, ordered from the dealer.
